Homework Problems
All graded homework assignments are posted and submitted on our WebWork page. Your login credentials are discussed in the "Introduction and Logistics" pre-class video for Day 1.
In addition to the assigned problems, there will also be a number of optional problem sets that are posted, either on WebWork or on this site (or both). Optional problems from the text will be odd-numbered, so that solutions are available at the end of the book. Optional problems on WebWork will have answers available immediately upon posting.
Optional Assignments

You might be interested in working on the following problems from the text. You do not need to submit solutions to these problems for a grade. Solutions should be found in the back of the book, but you can also contact the instructor if you have questions or want to check your understanding. Note: problems from section 1 cover more "precalculus" topics (for those that want to refresh their mathematical vocabulary), whereas the content from chapter 2 covers the start of differential calculus (i.e., the tangent problem and the basic notion of limit).

- Here is a list of derivative problems (involving all the rules we've developed, including implicit differentiation) that you might find useful to work through. I'll post solutions soon.
